Financial Aid
Massage Therapy Education is approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. We know that pursuing your future as a Licensed Massage Therapist is a meaningful investment. Although we are not eligible to participate in federal financial aid programs (such as FAFSA), students may still qualify for support through county-based grants funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Depending on eligibility, these grants can cover partโor even allโof your tuition.
Available Grants by County:
Kane County
Kane County residents may apply for financial assistance through their workforce office.
McHenry County
McHenry County residents can explore grant opportunities via their WIOA office.
Lake County residents may be eligible for financial assistance through their workforce services office.
Important Information
MTE does not supply or approve these grants.
Grants are administered directly through your county workforce office.
Eligibility depends on your county of residence and income level.
Funding is limited so apply early to secure your spot. Once grant is applied for, you must complete the process with the county within 30 days, or it will be rejected. Be sure to follow up if you apply for a County WIOA grant.
The Spirit of Sheila Scholarship is a $2,000 grant offered in Massage Therapy Education, honoring Sheila Fritz, mother of MTE Founder Julie Bevel. Available to students enrolling in our evening classes, it supports aspiring massage therapists by helping lighten the cost of tuition and bringing their dream careers within reach.
