Hands On: Clinical Decision Making & Critical Thinking for Massage Therapists in Healthcare

Step into the world of medical and clinical massage with confidence. This 6-hour continuing education course is designed to help massage therapists develop strong clinical reasoning skills and safely navigate the complex healthcare environment.
Through guided discussion, demonstration, and case-based learning, students will deepen their understanding of how to assess, adapt, and apply massage therapy techniques for clients with diverse medical conditions.
In this class, students will:

  • Demonstrate understanding of common conditions and symptoms seen in healthcare environments

  • Review variables of medications and their impact on treatment planning

  • Recognize medical devices and their implications for massage therapy

  • Learn documentation requirements for clinical and interdisciplinary communication
